Digital design is the graphic design team within PDMS, a software development company with offices in London and the Isle of Man.
Jim Rawson
Senior Designer
After completing a BA (Hons) degree in Art and Design from the University of Plymouth, Jim joined local publishing company Mannin Media Group as a sub-editor in 1997.
He then went on to work in the marketing department at Manx Telecom followed by a position as web and graphic designer with Alliance & Leicester International where he co-ordinated the development of the company website and online marketing campaign.
Jim joined PDMS in 2005 and has worked on numerous projects including the Isle of Man Government’s Online Services project and the Police National Legal Database ‘Ask the Police’ website.
An Adobe Certified Professional, Jim is passionate about good design.
Alan Quirk
Graphic Designer
Prior to working at PDMS, Alan studied at the Isle of Man College completing an A-level in Graphic Design and a National Diploma in Multimedia, followed by a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design.
He subsequently worked as a freelance graphic designer, completing projects for a range of Isle of Man and UK clients. A keen musician, Alan initially specialized in music-related design work including merchandising and websites for bands and artists.
Having joined the PDMS design team at the start of 2008, Alan has quickly adapted to his new role, becoming proficient in standards-compliant xhtml and css coding and completing several prestigious projects including a touch screen interface for the Isle of Man TT Races and a new website for the Road Traffic Licensing Committee.
Michelle Hazel
Graphic Designer
Michelle has many years experience in IT and communications and has a degree in Business & Law from University College, Dublin.
Prior to working at PDMS she worked in New York as a Financial Applications Analyst and Sharepoint Administrator for Newscorp. Most recently Michelle worked as an IT Project Manager and Sharepoint Administrator & Designer for News International in London.
Michelle brings a wealth of industry experience to PDMS digital design and while she specialises in theming and branding Sharepoint applications her skills also encompass logo, web and interface design. In order to further develop her graphic design skills Michelle recently completed an A-level in Graphic Design at the Isle of Man College.
